2018 Winners Press Release

The Virginia Recycling Association honors top recyclers and recycling programs in the Commonwealth through our annual awards program. This year we’re offering awards in three categories:

  • Show Me the Way: how do you explain recycling to your customers?
  • Lemonade: how have you taken a bad situation and made something wonderful from it?
  • Best in Show: how has your program made a difference in your community?

Winners will be recognized at the VRA annual meeting on November 5 at 10am in Charlottesville, VA and will receive a complimentary one-year VRA membership.

Nominations were due by 5pm on Wednesday, September 19th. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony.

Nominations are sought from the public and private sectors, business, industry, schools, government and non-profit agencies, civic or volunteer organizations, and individuals. It is not necessary to be a VRA member to make a nomination or to receive an award but the nominated person or program must be Virginia-based.
